Authenticity of the Qur'an
There has been no nation which cared about, holified and preserved its Divine Scripture
as the Muslim Ummah (nation) cared about, holified and preserved the Qur'an. Unlike the
Divine Scriptures which preceded it, the Qur'an is not kept in the hands of particular group
or clan of Muslims so that one may suspect it to be tampered with or alterated; rather , it
was within the reach of all Muslims. The Muslims are commanded to recite it in their prayer
and refer to it in all their disputes for a final judgment. The Qur'an was compiled at a time
when those who committed it to memory were still alive. Allah has promised to preserve
the Qur'an , and it will be preserved till the day of judgment. The Muslims today read and
recite the Qur'anic texts that were read and recited during the lifetime of the Prophet
Muhammad, peace be on him, and his companions: No letter has been added to the Qur'an
or deleted from it. after examining the Qur'an, Dr. Maurice Bucaille ascertains: <<thanks to
its undisputed authenticity, the text of the Qur'an holds a unique place among the books of
revelation>>.
